Can I get both a personal and a business grant?

That's a really great question! And one with a couple of answers.

The short answer is yes, but applying for both personal and business grants at the same time could work against you.

Most of the business grant inquiries we get are from people who want to start a business to make money to pay off their debts.

Here's something very important to remember. If you're applying for a business grant, it has to be for a solid business.

It absolutely cannot be camouflage for getting money to pay down personal debts.

Evaluators of grant applications will see through this in seconds after reviewing your application.

And even though you might be eligible for personal grants, the evaluators could see that as a desperate grab for whatever money is out there and disqualify you.

So, our recommendation is to first apply for whatever personal grants are available to you. Then when you've exhausted all the personal grant possibilities, you can apply for a business grant.

No matter what, you need to know the grant-getting process to be successful.
