November 30th 2006 while on the job I was involved in an auto accident where I was hit from behind. I suffered injuries to my back and neck.

In April 2007, my employer at the time of the accident fired me. Their explanation was that my sales productivity had declined.

Even though I was suffering from severe pain I went out the following Monday and got myself a new job to try and help support my loving wife and children.

I worked at my new job until my workers compensation doctor told me I was unable to work and sent me to a neurosurgeon.

At the first visit with the neurosurgeon he said that I had a bulging disk in my neck at level c-4 c-5 and that the damaged disk was causing nerve damage.

My surgeon battled with workers compensation for almost two years before he could get an approval to do an artificial disk replacement.

In April 2008 I finally had my surgery. Unfortunately the damage to my nerves had been done. I now have numbness and tingling in both arms and hands along with severe pain 24/7.

My workers compensation company still owes me several months of temporary benefits plus penalties. I have to fight them tooth and nail just to get a doctor let alone receive money from them.

I have borrowed and borrowed from my parents to keep my family afloat. It has just become too much. I now suffer from severe depression, my marriage is now in shambles and I have no place left to turn.

My bank account is overdrawn by almost $600, I have an almost $5000 judgment against me for past credit card debt that I couldn't afford to pay due to the injury, and I owe family over $2000 for the same reason.

I have gone through State Disability and received benefits from them and have applied for SSI several times but that is another battle on top of the workers compensation battle.

If something doesn't happen soon I fear I will lose my wife and children and possibly end up homeless. Please help me! My family is all I have left.

I have no pride or even self-respect anymore because I can't provide for my family or even do little things around the house to take some of that burden off of my wife's shoulders because I hurt so bad.

Someone PLEASE help this man!
by: Gerry

I am so sorry to here what has happened to you. I have gone through an operation on my neck. They took out 2 discs and put in 2 pieces of bone then fused them together.

I am from Ireland, but I had to go to the United States of America to have this done. The Doctors here just would not do it. I had been like this for 6½ years and I was on over 650 tablets a month.

It has been 6 weeks from when I had the operation and I have never been doing better. I am also down to 280 tablets a month. The only answer is to have the operation; nothing else will work. I have tried everything under the sun.

My advice is to do a fund raiser to help get the money together for the operation, and stop spending money on physiotherapy and so on. If there is anything else I can help with let me know. Best of luck in the future.

Gerry

Please help this man and his family!
by: Liz

If this man wanted preaching the "Word," he could just go to Church. He needs immediate help right now. His pain is real, his needs are real, and he probably can't wait for "God's" time. Instead of preaching him the Bible, why don't you send him some money even if it's just for food or clothes. You have the answers if you have practiced what you preach.

Get the sword in your hand!
by: Anonymous

Stop whatever you're doing right now. Say to yourself, Lord talk to me and my situation right now this very moment. Lord I'm putting it all on you now. Lord when I get up from here right now I'm not going to worry what tomorrow will bring. Lord I'm going to start reading your word right now starting with psalms 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 36, 38, 39, 54 and 91. Before I start reading your word I'm going to ask in prayer for wisdom and understanding of his word. God's word is an important part of the armor you need. (It's that sword that protects you.) If you really and truly want a change for the better, start asking Jesus Christ to pray for you also. Nobody can get a prayer through to God like Christ can. When you start reading God's word you can't stay the same. God is not complicated. He knows what we need before we ask. Try God's love.
