Disability Grant To Help Woman With Seizures Get Drivers License Back

by Kat
(Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA)

My name is Kat. I am 42 years old and have experienced seizures in the past, but not recently.

In fact, it's been almost two years since I have had any seizures, but when I went to get my license renewed last year, I was turned away because I was honest that I had seizures in the past.

The man at the DMV told me that I had to have a doctor's release to be able to get my license renewed. I did not know that I needed to keep seeing a doctor, nor can I afford to go and see a neurologist.

I have been unemployed for almost a year and a half and I don't have the funds to pay off past medical bills, or have the money to be able to go and get current tests done. Not having a license makes it really hard to get a job as well.

Since I haven't had any seizures in the past year and a half, I really want my independence back by having my driver's license.

Having my license back will also be able to help me help my partner. She is missing a foot, has fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome, plus anxiety. All in all, there are days that she is not able to drive.

Getting a grant to help with getting my license back would be greatly appreciated!! Please Help! Thank you.

Regarding Medical Bills
by: Anonymous

I don't know where you live; however, I believe the process is the about the same in most states. I had my school loans (it took three years) forgiven, wiped the slate clean due to my disability. The same goes for medical bills my insurance didn't cover when I was in the hospital, and two months of recovery from the hospital.

I called them and explained my situation, signed a waiver so they could see for themselves I could not pay the bills they were sending me. This process took about two weeks before they sent me a letter telling me I no longer owed them the money.

I now need a vehicle, and that is why I filled out the application for this web site. Every little bit helps, and I was taught that if you pray why worry, if you worry why pray. Worrying is considered a sin, and it doesn't help anyway. It's just lost time spent dwelling on negative energy. God Bless at God Speed as only "He" the father can do. But for the grace of God go I.

There are people out there in much worse situations than you and I. I pray for them as well as myself. Now I will mention you in my prayers, that your prayers are answered, and you get your license back.

Sincerely,

Linda
