Disability Issues

I was in an accident in 1997 when I started my disability and have had to have a lot of doctor visits since. For the last two I have been having trouble with my hip and the doctor stated that I need to have my hip replaced but unfortunately I have not been able to have it done.

Now my hip is at the point where if I can find a doctor to take the risk and replace my hip it will be a wonderful thing. If I do not get a doctor to replace my hip I will not be able to walk.

Before my accident I was the manager of a McDonalds and I drove a truck but now I cannot do any of that.

Financial Hardship

I get $703 a month and here is a summary of my bills. House payment is $203 per month, water bill $35 per month, car insurance $125 per month, electricity bill $250 per month or higher, phone bill $54 per month and the total is $756 which leaves me $53.

I have no money for gas, clothes, shoes or anything that may come up during the month. I need a larger vehicle to get to and from the doctor. Something like a pickup truck or a van.

Income Efforts

I worked for my father before he passed.

I also was driving trucks but my hip got so bad about two years ago I could not do anything.

No one wants to hire this disability man doing what he is used to doing.

Specific Needs

Here is what I need:

• a truck or van to get to and from my doctor appointments
• a ramp to get in and out of my house with
• enough money to pay all of my household bills
• not worrying about having somewhere to live or having electricity turned off

Business Idea

I would like to open a clothing and a shoe boutique. I would like to give the lower income class people a chance to work to get off welfare and food stamps.

I think it is a great idea because people have to wear clothes and shoes all year round and basically until they pass.

I once was the manager of McDonalds for eight years and as a quick learner like myself I feel it would be no problem at all but it is hard work.

Also I would like to give back to my community.
