Real Disability Testimonials – Kate Sutton, Colorado, USA
When I found Ability-Mission.org online, I met the nicest man on the planet named Donald Coggan. He was kind enough to correspond with me through the years.
He finally convinced me that Ability-Mission.org is a valuable resource for people wanting their dreams to come true.
Even if you're disabled, it's still possible to carve out a life that is meaningful.
At first, I was skeptical because I thought no one will help you. You have to help yourself! I thought Ability-Mission.org was a crock until I realized it was indeed a real organization.
The biggest hurdle was telling my story online. Once I was honest about my past, a huge cloud lifted. There is no need to feel oppressed or guilty about having a disability. There is life beyond Social Security Disability. Nobody should be sentenced to a life of re-runs on television and feeling isolated!
Ability-Mission.org shows you the way by helping you with all your Disability needs both directly and through its collaborating partner, the Disability Digest. The Digest owner, Brian Therrien, is a kind and helpful man who helps you learn the Disability steps through a series of webinars where you discover how to:
- get approved for disability 10 times faster
- maximize your benefits
- find approvable housing in safe neighborhoods
- supplement your income
- get answers to your questions
- network with key people
Ability-Mission.org provides information so that you can find resources on your own, create your own business, and help yourself find and/or write your own government grant.
It's all about finding the courage to take baby steps towards your dreams and ambitions.
My mother was a 3rd Grade Elementary School Teacher. She taught me at an early age, "Kate, you are as smart as you choose to be."
My passion in life is to create art. I have achieved going to Grad School and earning my Master's as an Archivist. I have been a caregiver for my family and volunteered at a local hospital library.
None of my achievements would have been possible if I had not acquired a support system through Ability-Mission.org., and through the kindness of Don Coggan and Brian Therrien.
Having faith also helps.
Don introduced me to the possibility of blogging with John Morrow's help and his online advice. I am learning time-management skills. Thank you, Don.
This summer, I tried online dating through Dating4Disabled.com. It was an amazing experience to meet a variety of people with disabilities. This was another baby step towards my dream of establishing a relationship with someone special!
It's a great feeling to learn how to help yourself first through getting information, achieving skills, networking and then helping others. Best wishes to all through your journey in life.
