Grant To Help Woman With Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome Develop Farm

by Hillary Schlagael
(North Royalton, Ohio, USA)

I have two small kids. I have been looking for work-at-home income opportunities for several years now. It has not worked out.

I am looking for a grant for beef cattle and mushroom growing. We have the land for about 18 beef cattle and a small green house.

Disability Issues

I have a brain injury from birth. As a result of that birth injury, I have neuroleptic malignant syndrome.

I am on many medications because of it. It makes me very depressed.

Financial Hardship

I am looking for something to do on our family farm.

We need help with funding for cattle and a greenhouse.

I will need help with seeds and anything else that goes with a green house and beef cattle.

Income Efforts

I am on SSI. That is not enough with two small kiddos.

I have been trying the work-at-home job market many years and that has not worked out.

I am trying to do something else to help us out.

Specific Needs

I'm looking for grants for beef cattle and a greenhouse to grow mushrooms.

I would also need a computer and other things to manage it all.

More info

I am 46. My kids are five and under. I am married, but my husband only works part time. I only make $557 per month. Most of that goes towards my drugs that I need each month. It is very hard for me drive. I can't go far from home, when I do drive. I am mostly at home. I have been looking for at-home work for many years and it has not paid off. I just don't know what to do at this point.

Give us more detail on your story
by: Don from Ability-Mission.org

Hillary,

You're more likely to get help by giving more detail about your situation. Please make a comment on your own story here and provide the specifics asked for when you did the draft story:

- Personal Story -- Talk about your age, sex, family, kids, military, etc., but NOT your disability. (50+ words)

- Disability Issues -- Describe origins, how they've evolved, your official disability status, etc. (100+ words)

- Financial Hardship -- Describe money issues: home, work, transport, meds, equipment, etc. (100+ words)

- Income Efforts -- Describe ALL your attempts to obtain income: jobs, work-at-home, SSI, SSDI, church, grants, donations, friends, family, etc. (50+ words)

Talk about your family. Who is in it besides your kids. How old are your kids? How are they affected? Do you have a life partner contributing to the cause?

The more detail you provide, the more specific help you can get.

That said, please go to this page for step by step instructions on how to get started with the federal government website that helps you find benefits you are entitled to:

http://www.ability-mission.org/benefits

Few people are aware of this, so you could be quite surprised at what you uncover.

Let us know what you find, okay?
