Business Grant Will Help Heart Disabled Man Promote Patented Invention

by Ronald Wendel
(Riverview, Michigan, USA)

My name is Ronald Wendel. I am currently 55 years old. I have a loving wife Brenda, a son Brett and a dog Casey.

My wife is 50 years old and my son is 16. My wife and son both work.

My son works two jobs to help pay for everyday expenses. It is very difficult for me to impose this on my son.

Disability Issues

I have a condition called Myasthenia Gravis (MG). It's an autoimmune neuromuscular disease. It seems that a chemical imbalance prevents proper transmission of signals from the brain to the muscles.

I also have severe heart problems. I've had seven bypasses to treat my heart condition. At the time of this writing, I'm in the hospital for two stents in my heart.

I also had four disks removed from my lower back and one from my neck.

Growing up I was diagnosed with dyslexia.

Financial Hardship

We were doing fine on Social Security Disability until the medical bills started building up.

Then when my wife lost her job in 2010, I had no choice but to file for bankruptcy. And now I cannot get a loan or anything because I filed for bankruptcy.

I cannot afford medication that I desperately need because I only have Medicare A and not part B.

I feel as if I'm a burden to my family. We cannot buy a car or anything because of my credit scores.

Now I'm worried about losing the house.

The vehicles are old. One is a 1993 bronco and the other is a 2001 Taurus.

It's tough trying to survive on Social Security Disability.

Income Efforts

I've tried everything to find income to help my family.

I went back to school to help my family and myself with extra income, but people do not hire people with my past medical history.

I've tried churches. I prayed.

I am not good at explaining my problems.

Specific Needs

I am looking for a grant that will assist me in starting a business, because I cannot get other since filing for bankruptcy.

I've tried the Small Business Administration. I've tried others like venture capitalists.

But once they find out I filed for bankruptcy I cannot get anything.

I was almost out of bankruptcy and had to go back in and have two stents, racking up more medical bills.

Business Idea

While in school to become an electrician I had a thought of a device that would help save lives and also property.

I decided to do the research to see if my product was patented. I found out it wasn't. I decided to patent it and I was successful. It took seven years.

My product is called the combined guide – nail shield processor. I received my patent on December 27, 2011. See it here:

I've been trying for a year to find funding but have been unsuccessful.

I have a business plan. I understand the business.

My product saves time and money, and also could save lives and property.

My product is the only one on the market today that is up to both the national and residential codes for electrical and plumbing.

I can send you a copy of my business plan. Thank you for helping me if you can.
