Daughter Seeks Debt Relief Grant Money For 62 Year Old Disabled Mother

My mother is 62 years old. She has been on SS disability for over two years now with rheumatoid arthritis.

She also has diabetes and COPD. My mother is not overweight to cause the diabetes or the arthritis. She is 5' tall and barely breaks 100 lbs.

Some days she cannot even bear to walk to the bathroom but she does it. SSD does not pay enough for her to live. She gets Medicaid, which helps with her meds but limits her to what they will provide.

If it's a med that is not on their "allowed" list, she has to take what they give her and she has had very serious side effects from some of the medication.

At times, she can't eat, she can't sleep and the vertigo can hit her at anytime.

She has medical bills that they are still trying to sue her for but her Social Security barely covers her rent and she drives an old beat up clunker that uses more gas than the car is worth.

Is there any possible way that she can be helped with some of her debt and to get a car that is safe for her to drive to her doctors???

She has no money to pay a fee and neither do I or anyone else in my family. There has to be something for her.

We have searched all over and people want up to $500 in fees just to apply. Please help. Sincerely, Chrissie Bracken.
