Disability Grants To Help PTSD Disabled Debora With School And Living
by Debora Angelo
(Gilbert, Arizona, USA)
I am a 47-year-old woman. I raised five kids, three of my own and two stepchildren. My youngest son passed away at age 19.
I am a big family oriented person who would rather be at home with family than off doing something else.
While raising my children I became very depressed and had to take a break from the stresses of life. This was in the late 90s.
Through a psychiatrist I found that I am bipolar, and I suffer from PTSD, depression and anxiety.
In 2011 I suffered the loss of my big brother to suicide, my fiancé to a massive heart attack, and my youngest son to an overdose. This put me in a tailspin.
I take medication for depression, anxiety and my heart to keep it from pounding and causing panic attacks.
Living on disability is like walking a tight rope. I pay my own rent of $550, a car payment of $300, car insurance of $80 and my phone at $90. That's a total of $1020.
I only receive $1100 per month so it leaves very little for food, gas, medical expenses and any other essentials. I struggle just to live day to day
I receive Disability and have tried many times to look for work but my disabilities hold me back.
I've searched for grants to no avail and my family doesn't have the money to help me with expenses of any kind
I'm hoping to receive some benefits that can help me pay for my living expenses, and help me make it through.
I'm going to go back to school and will need grant money for that too as I don't need more unpaid bills.
I will need my vehicle for transport but that means more gas so if I had help with that too it would be beneficial
I'm hoping that once I get my diploma from an aesthetics and laser school, I can start my own business with a grant and look forward to my future as an independent aesthetician/skin laser specialist.
I have management experience and know that I love helping others feel great about how they look and feel. People love me as well
