My son and I before any illnesses

My son and I before any illnesses

My name is Angie Cantrall-Mikulcik. I'm 37 years old and I'm looking for government grant money to help me with my many disabilities.

I have severe RA, cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, sclerosis, scoliosis, Tourette syndrome, ataxia, possible diabetes and possible MS.

I was starting my third year of English/Abnormal Psychology, when I started to fall. I had no Idea what was going on.

I started becoming confused, disoriented, and very sore in my joints. I went to three neurologists in prominent Chicago Hospitals and they all said I had fibromyalgia.

I went back to my neurologist in tears and told him everything that was going on. He ordered a simple blood test to see if I had RA. It came back positive.

I went to a rheumatologist for treatment. Every medication had horrible side effects.

In the meantime, my 16-year-old son had a cyst in his brain, along with Tourette syndrome.

Surgery was in Jan 2010 and he has been homebound schooled until the end of his junior year. He was an honor student, and now his grades are suffering.

I am not sure how I am going to send him to college. How I am going to afford all my medical bills with five different doctors for myself, and three for my son?

My husband lost his job and I have no income yet. I am still waiting for my disability to come through. But I am afraid that I am going to have to file bankruptcy.

My arthritis has gotten more severe due to my body rejecting most medications. My bones are starting to deform in my hands and feet.

I have a 10-year-old and a soon to be 17-year-old child and four stepchildren. I am asking for any sort of help.

Thank you so much for any help, government grant or other, that you can direct me to. Angie Cantrall-Mikulcik.
